Ever wonder what a traditional, preppy family home looks like? This is it. Riverdale is a stately home in Portland’s Riverdale neighborhood, fully renovated in 2025 with a combination of bold colors, fantastic prints, and comfortable corners that make it everything you’d want to raise a family in. It’s approachable yet elevated: bright in the dining room, moody in the den just across from it. Our clients wanted to honor the home’s traditional bones, its proportions, millwork, and sense of formality, while bringing in the comfort and ease of modern transitional design. Every space was reworked with an eye for craftsmanship: custom cabinetry, layered lighting, and a considered material palette that feels both elevated and welcoming. The result is a home that reads as timeless rather than trendy, designed to age as gracefully as the architecture it lives within.
